Clinical care for bones, joints, muscles and the entire musculoskeletal system.

Restore. Rebuild. Move Again.

Orthopaedic physiotherapy addresses conditions affecting your joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons and bones. Whether you are recovering from surgery, managing a fracture, or dealing with persistent joint pain — we assess you thoroughly and build a program that restores your function and keeps it that way.

Our approach is not just about treating the injury. It is about understanding why it happened and making sure it does not happen again.

Who Can Benefit?

Post-operative rehab Fractures & bone injuries Ligament tears (ACL, MCL) Tendon injuries Meniscus injuries Shoulder impingement Rotator cuff injuries Hip & knee osteoarthritis Spinal disc conditions Chronic joint pain Muscle strains Sports injuries

Pain Relief

Targeted manual techniques and therapeutic exercises to reduce pain and inflammation effectively.

Restored Mobility

Regain your full range of movement through progressive joint mobilisation and strengthening.

Post-Surgery Recovery

Structured rehabilitation programs designed around your surgical procedure and surgeon guidelines.

Injury Prevention

We identify and correct movement deficiencies to protect you from future injury and relapse.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many sessions will I need before I see results?
It typically takes 2–3 weeks before you begin noticing meaningful improvement — particularly for post-operative cases, as your soft tissues (muscles, joint capsules, ligaments) need time to begin remodelling after injury. That said, results depend on several individual factors: your age, overall fitness levels, activity levels, sleep quality, and nutrition. Some patients progress faster, others need more time. We assess you regularly and adjust your programme accordingly.
Will physiotherapy be painful?
Not necessarily — and never unnecessarily. Occasionally, certain techniques may induce some discomfort, but we only go that route when it is clinically required. You may experience a mild flare-up after sessions, which is your body's natural healing response. If needed, your prescribed medications or a consultation with a medical doctor can help manage your symptoms.
Do I need a doctor's referral before booking?
Absolutely not. Physiotherapists are primary healthcare providers — you can walk in without any referral. However, if your condition requires surgery, prescription medication, or care beyond our clinical scope, we will refer you to the appropriate medical professional.
Can physiotherapy help me avoid surgery?
In many cases, yes. Physiotherapy combined with lifestyle modifications and appropriate precautions can successfully manage conditions that might otherwise require surgical intervention. However, if your symptoms cannot be adequately managed or your condition worsens, we will advise you to consult a surgeon — your long-term wellbeing always comes first.
What should I wear to my first session?
Wear something comfortable and easy to move in. During your session you may be asked to squat, raise your arms overhead, lie on your stomach, or perform other functional movements. Shorts or three-quarter length pants with a t-shirt work well. The priority is that you feel comfortable and unrestricted.

Sports Rehabilitation

Get back to the sport you love — stronger, more resilient, and better prepared.

Built for Every Body. Not Just Athletes.

Sports rehabilitation is not exclusive to professional athletes. Whether you are a weekend runner, a school student who plays football, or someone from the general population dealing with a movement limitation — we have a programme tailored to you. From injury prevention to full return-to-sport assessment, we cover the entire journey.

Our goal is to prepare your body to handle the demands of your sport or activity — and to make sure it stays ready long after you leave our clinic.

Who Can Benefit?

Sports injuries Muscle strains & tears Ligament sprains Return to sport rehab Injury prevention Performance optimisation Overuse injuries Agility & strength training

Sport-Specific Programming

Tailored rehab plans built around the demands of your specific sport or activity level.

Return to Sport Assessment

A structured clearance process to ensure you are truly ready before returning to full training or competition.

Injury Prevention

We identify your risk factors and design prevention strategies before injuries occur — not after.

Collaborative Training

We work alongside your coach or trainer to ensure your rehab and training programmes complement each other.

Frequently Asked Questions

I am not a professional athlete — is sports rehab for me too?
Absolutely. Physiotherapy and sports rehabilitation benefit everyone — from newborns to elderly individuals, from professional athletes to people who simply want to move better. We will create a programme tailored to your specific goals: whether that is preventing injury, managing an existing condition, or simply getting stronger and healthier.
When is it safe to return to sport after an injury?
This depends on your sport, the nature of your injury, and its severity. We conduct a formal return-to-sport assessment — a structured series of tests designed to evaluate your readiness. If you clear the assessment, you are good to go. There is no guesswork involved.
What is the difference between sports rehab and regular physiotherapy?
Sports rehabilitation goes beyond pain relief and basic recovery. It includes injury prevention strategies, sport-specific strengthening, agility training, neuromuscular conditioning, and progressive loading — all designed to prepare your body to handle forces many times greater than everyday demands. Regular physiotherapy focuses on restoring function; sports rehab pushes you to perform.
Can I continue training while undergoing rehab?
In most cases, yes. If you are keen to keep training during your rehabilitation, speak with your physiotherapist so we can plan your sessions accordingly. We can even collaborate with your trainer to align both programmes for the best possible outcomes.

Manual Therapy

Hands-on techniques to free restricted joints, reduce pain, and restore fluid movement.

Getting Your Joints Moving Again.

Manual therapy uses skilled, hands-on clinical techniques to assess and treat soft tissue and joint dysfunction. When joints stiffen — particularly in the spine — they restrict movement, cause pain, and affect how the rest of your body functions. Manual therapy is about restoring that lost mobility, reducing pain, and getting you back to unrestricted movement.

Every session begins with a thorough assessment of your joint range and movement quality. Treatment is then tailored based on how your body responds — not a fixed protocol.

Who Can Benefit?

Stiff neck & back Spinal pain Joint hypomobility Headaches from neck stiffness Shoulder restriction Post-injury joint stiffness Hip & knee tightness Thoracic pain

Improved Joint Range

Targeted mobilisation and manipulation restore movement to stiff, restricted joints safely and effectively.

Pain Reduction

Manual techniques directly address the source of pain — not just the symptoms.

Personalised Treatment

Every session is guided by how your joints behave — not a standardised protocol.

Lasting Results

Combined with exercises and lifestyle advice, manual therapy delivers changes that hold over time.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a manual therapy session feel like?
Your physiotherapist will assess the extent of your joint range of movement and then use a combination of stretches, mobilisation techniques, and hands-on tools to get those restricted joints moving optimally again. Some techniques may cause mild discomfort during the session, but most patients find relief immediately after.
Is manual therapy the same as a massage?
No — though massage can be one of the techniques used within a manual therapy session. Manual therapy is a broader clinical approach that includes joint mobilisation, manipulation, and soft tissue techniques. Which interventions are used depends entirely on your assessment findings — how your joints behave during movement guides every decision.
How long before I feel results?
Most patients begin to notice meaningful improvement after consistently following their plan for 2–3 weeks. However, results depend on several factors: age, blood sugar levels, stress, sleep, and nutrition. Building healthy habits around all of these parameters — wherever possible — significantly accelerates your body's natural healing ability.
Are there conditions where manual therapy is not suitable?
Yes. Manual therapy is not appropriate in cases of acute fractures, spinal fixation hardware, severe osteoporosis, active infection or inflammation, and certain vascular conditions. Your physiotherapist will screen you thoroughly before recommending any manual techniques.

Strength & Conditioning

Your body is capable of far more than you think. Let us help you prove it.

Train Smarter. Perform Better.

Do you feel like your body can do more? Whether you are an athlete chasing peak performance or someone simply wanting to feel stronger and more capable in daily life — our structured strength and conditioning programmes are built around your goals, your body, and your timeline.

This is not generic gym programming. Every session is grounded in clinical knowledge of how the body moves, loads, and adapts — so you train harder, smarter, and with far less risk of injury.

Who Can Benefit?

Athletes & sports players Fitness enthusiasts Post-rehab conditioning Injury prevention General population Weight management Performance optimisation Elderly strength training

Clinically-Guided Programming

Designed by qualified physiotherapists who understand how the body loads, moves, and adapts.

Injury-Resistant Body

Strength training is one of the most powerful tools for preventing injury and managing chronic conditions.

Peak Performance

Progressive overload and sport-specific conditioning to take your performance to the next level.

Long-Term Health

Building strength is one of the best investments you can make in your long-term physical and metabolic health.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to already be fit to start a strength programme?
Not at all. Our programmes serve everyone — from competitive athletes to elderly individuals wanting to stay active and independent. We design every session around your current fitness level. There is no baseline requirement other than the willingness to improve.
How is this different from a regular gym programme?
Our programmes are designed by a qualified physiotherapist who understands injury risk, movement dysfunction, and how the body adapts to load. Every session is clinically informed — so you train effectively and safely, with far less risk of injury than a generic gym plan.
Can strength training help with weight management and chronic conditions like diabetes?
Absolutely. Strength training is one of the most powerful interventions for managing body weight, improving insulin sensitivity, reducing blood pressure, and building metabolic resilience. It is a cornerstone of our preventive health approach at RAPHA.

Neurological Physiotherapy

Rebuilding movement, independence, and confidence after neurological conditions.

Harnessing the Brain's Ability to Heal.

Neurological physiotherapy focuses on rehabilitation for conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, and nervous system. Our approach is centred on neuroplasticity — the remarkable ability of the brain to rewire and adapt, forming new pathways for movement and function. Recovery is possible at any stage, and we are here to guide every step of that journey.

We also support the family — because the best neurological outcomes happen when everyone around the patient understands and actively participates in the process.

Who Can Benefit?

Stroke survivors Spinal cord injuries Parkinson's disease Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Traumatic brain injury Guillain-Barré syndrome Cerebral palsy Balance & coordination disorders

Restored Independence

Regaining the ability to perform daily activities — however small — is the foundation of neurological rehab.

Neuroplasticity-Based Rehab

Structured, repetitive movement re-education that harnesses the brain's own ability to adapt and rewire.

Family-Centred Approach

We involve and educate family members — because their participation directly improves patient outcomes.

Adaptive Strategies

Where full recovery may not be possible, we help patients and families find ways to adapt and live fully.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can physiotherapy help someone who had a stroke years ago — not just recently?
While it is ideal to begin physiotherapy within 3–4 months of the incident, starting later can still yield meaningful positive outcomes. The brain retains some degree of neuroplasticity throughout life. As we say — better late than never. Every gain, however incremental, matters.
How long does neurological rehab take?
Neurological rehabilitation is primarily driven by neuroplasticity — how quickly the individual learns to perform activities with or without assistance from others. Progress timelines vary enormously depending on the type and severity of the condition, overall health, consistency of therapy, and the support system around the patient. We set realistic goals and celebrate every milestone.
Should family members be involved in the rehabilitation process?
Absolutely — and we strongly encourage it. The best neurological outcomes consistently occur when family members actively participate, understand the reasons behind the patient's current condition, and learn how to support the rehab process at home. We take time to educate and involve the family at every stage.

Every Step Forward Matters.

Let us walk this journey with you and your family.

Movement Analysis

See exactly how your body moves — and what needs to change.

Understanding How You Move.

Movement analysis uses slow-motion video technology to capture and examine the way your body moves during functional activities — walking, running, squatting, climbing stairs. It gives us an objective, detailed picture of your movement patterns and helps identify inefficiencies that may be causing pain, increasing injury risk, or limiting your performance.

Where a standard observation might miss subtle compensations, our technology-assisted analysis makes them visible — and actionable.

Who Can Benefit?

Pain while walking or running Aches with prolonged standing Runners & athletes Recurrent lower limb injuries Post-injury gait changes Performance optimisation Knee & hip pain Flat feet & posture issues

Objective Assessment

Technology removes guesswork — slow-motion video reveals exactly what the naked eye misses.

Injury Risk Reduction

Identifying faulty movement patterns before they cause injury is the most effective form of prevention.

Performance Gains

Optimising how you move translates directly into better efficiency, speed, and endurance.

Detailed Reporting

A comprehensive report of your movement findings is available upon request for your records.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who needs a movement analysis?
Anyone experiencing pain or discomfort while walking, running, or standing for extended periods can benefit. It is also highly valuable for athletes wanting to optimise performance and for anyone with recurring lower limb injuries — where faulty movement patterns are often the root cause.
What happens during the session — what will I be asked to do?
You will be asked to walk, run, squat, and climb stairs — all while being filmed in slow motion. This allows us to examine the kinematics (angles, timing, coordination) of each body segment involved in those movements with precision.
Will I receive a report after my session?
Yes — a detailed report of your movement analysis findings can be provided upon request.
How is this different from just watching me walk?
While observational assessment is part of every clinical examination, movement analysis with slow-motion technology makes the process objective and measurable. Subtle compensations, asymmetries, and timing errors that are nearly impossible to detect in real time become clearly visible — allowing for far more precise and targeted interventions.

See How You Move. Change How You Feel.

Sports Massage

Recovery, relief, and performance — delivered through expert hands.

More Than a Massage.

Sports massage goes well beyond relaxation. It is a targeted clinical intervention designed to increase blood flow, break down adhesions and knots, and restore elasticity to muscles and fascia. We often incorporate active movement during sessions to enhance tissue response — making the treatment more effective than passive massage alone.

Whether you are recovering from a heavy training session, preparing for an event, or managing chronic muscle tension — sports massage is a powerful tool in your recovery toolkit.

Who Can Benefit?

Athletes in training Post-event recovery Muscle tightness & knots Lactic acid build-up Fascial restrictions Chronic muscle tension Pre-event preparation General muscle maintenance

Faster Recovery

Accelerates removal of metabolic waste and improves circulation to speed up muscle recovery.

Reduced Muscle Tension

Breaks down knots and adhesions that restrict movement and cause chronic discomfort.

Improved Flexibility

Active movement integrated into the session enhances fascial elasticity beyond what passive massage achieves.

Performance Maintenance

Regular sports massage keeps your body in optimal condition for sustained training and competition.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is sports massage different from a regular relaxation massage?
Sports massage is applied with clinical intent — increasing blood flow, breaking down adhesions and myofascial knots, and sometimes incorporating active movement during the session to improve the elasticity of fascia and muscles and assist with lactic acid dissipation. A relaxation massage focuses on general comfort and stress relief. Sports massage focuses on tissue quality, recovery, and function.
Will I be sore after a session?
Some post-treatment soreness is possible, particularly after deeper work on tight tissue. This typically subsides within 72 hours. Staying well-hydrated with water and non-sugary electrolytes (WHO formula) significantly helps reduce post-session soreness and supports tissue recovery.
How often should I get a sports massage?
This depends on your training load and goals. Generally, 3–4 sessions per month works well for athletes in regular training. A session the day after a heavy training session, or post-event, is particularly effective for recovery. Your physiotherapist can recommend the right frequency for your specific programme.

Tele Rehabilitation

Expert physiotherapy — wherever you are, whenever you need it.

Your Clinic. Your Home.

Can't make it to the clinic? Tele rehabilitation brings the expertise of your physiotherapist directly to you — through a secure video call. From initial assessment to guided exercise sessions and progress reviews, the quality of care remains the same regardless of where you are.

Your input is essential in tele rehab — the more you communicate how you feel between sessions, the better we can adapt your programme in real time.

Who Can Benefit?

General body pain Stiff joints Neck & low back aches Post-rehab maintenance Patients outside Mekkadambu Busy professionals Elderly patients at home Follow-up sessions

Accessible Anywhere

Receive expert physiotherapy from the comfort of your home — no travel required.

Consistent Care

Stay on track with your rehabilitation even when life gets in the way.

Flexible Scheduling

Sessions that fit around your work, family, and daily commitments.

Real-Time Guidance

Live video allows your physiotherapist to observe, correct, and progress your exercises in the moment.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does an online physiotherapy session work?
Once you connect with your physiotherapist on a video call, a basic assessment will be conducted and you may be asked to complete a questionnaire. Your physiotherapist will then guide you through exercises and movement techniques in real time — correcting your form and adjusting the programme based on what they observe on screen.
Is tele rehab as effective as in-person sessions?
While tele rehab offers excellent access to expert care from home, it does take a little more time for your physiotherapist to fully understand your pace and condition remotely compared to in person. This is easily managed with your active input — sharing how you felt after each session, whether there were any flare-ups, and any other observations. Your feedback is what makes tele rehab work well.
What equipment or space do I need at home?
All you need is a smartphone or laptop that can be propped up or placed at an angle where your body is visible during movement. A phone stand or laptop stand is useful. As your programme progresses, you may be asked to gradually acquire equipment such as a gym ball, yoga blocks, dumbbells, or resistance bands — your physiotherapist will guide you on this as needed.
Which conditions are suitable for tele rehabilitation?
Tele rehabilitation works well for general body pain, stiff joints, neck and low back aches, and post-rehabilitation maintenance programmes. If your condition requires hands-on manual therapy or complex assessment, we may recommend an in-person visit — your physiotherapist will advise you honestly on what is best for your specific situation.
